Karen Updike, DVM

Dr. Updike graduated from Michigan State University in 1994 and has practiced here at Milwood Animal Clinic ever since. She and her husband, Dr. Curtis Dame, took over ownership of the clinic in June of 1995. She has a special interest in avian and exotic pet medicine as well as animal behavior.

Dr. Updike loves that our doctors and staff take the time necessary to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Updike and Dr. Dame have two children, and the family shares their home with a domestic long-haired cat named Ford that she found running down I-94 on her way to work in January 2020 and a Schneider's Skink named Lizzy.
